Short answer. No official Maltese emergency kit list could be read as of 20 October 2026, so Phaenyx cannot reproduce one item by item. In April 2026 the government announced that every household in Malta and Gozo would receive an emergency manual and a fire blanket 1. The manual's content, including any kit list, has not been checked.
What is on the official Malta kit list?
No official list was found. Phaenyx found no Maltese government page setting out items, quantities or a number of days 2. Several government websites could not be opened on 20 October 2026, so a list may exist that was not consulted. This page will list it line by line once it is confirmed.
What will the household emergency manual contain?
According to TVMnews (PBS), the manual announced on 13 April 2026 covers fire prevention, first aid and responding to emergencies including natural disasters 1. Each household was also to receive a fire blanket 1. Both were to be collected from Civil Protection fire engines and fire stations 1. Phaenyx has not seen the manual and does not state what it recommends.
What can I use until an official list is available?

- What goes in a 72-hour kit?
- How much water per person? and water storage containers
- First aid kit
- Emergency lighting and emergency radio
- Infant supplies and pets
