Enter the code you received after buying your plan. You need a connection this one time. After that, the app works with no signal.
Free without a code: where am I, I need help, screen light and the travel pack for 62 countries. The code adds the I'm safe messages, your contacts and medical card, your documents and your plan offline.

- Tap Share at the bottom of Safari.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Are you OK?
Tap one. The app writes the message, you send it.
Your SMS app opens with the message and the numbers filled in. Press Send there: a phone browser cannot send a text by itself.

112No network?
Still works: your position (GPS), your card, your plan, the light.
Needs a little signal: sending. Try SMS first, it needs less than the internet.
If nothing goes through: keep messages short, report to one out-of-town contact, go to your meeting place, read the numbers from paper.

Works without internet if the phone has GPS. It saves your last position so you can read it later.
Plus code : type it into Google Maps to find this exact spot, for example to meet someone.
Read to the call-taker
Your position stays on this phone. It leaves only when you press a send or share button.
Contacts
Who to warn, where to meet, what a rescuer must know. Fill it in once, before a crisis: nobody remembers phone numbers in one.
- Your people, up to 5. When you tap I'm safe, the message goes to them. Put first someone outside your region: everyone reports to that person.
- Two meeting places. Near home and in your area, for when phones stop working.
- Your medical card. Allergies, medication, blood type: shown full screen to a paramedic, and on your lock screen.
Example. Greg taps I'm safe. Luc in Toronto and Anna get: "Greg is safe", with a map of where he is.
It stays on this phone. Nothing is sent to Phaenyx.

Lock-screen card
An image for your lock screen. A rescuer or a neighbour can read your contact and medical card without unlocking the phone.
Then: iPhone, Settings › Wallpaper › Add New Wallpaper › Photos. Android, Settings › Wallpaper › Lock screen. Anyone who picks up the phone can read it: choose what to show.
Nothing here is sent to Phaenyx. There is no account.
Travel pack
Documents
Your papers in your pocket, if you leave home in a hurry or lose your wallet.
- Prove who you are at a shelter, a border or a hospital.
- Get medication refilled with a photo of the prescription.
- Start an insurance claim without going back home.
- Every official list asks for copies of these documents.
Encrypted on this phone with your PIN. Readable with no signal. Nothing is sent to Phaenyx.

Turns the whole screen white so you can see, or flashes slowly so someone can see you. It uses the battery quickly.
The flash is slow, under one per second. Stop it if it bothers anyone.
