The Briefing — Prelaunch Edition
PHAENYX is not a game in the traditional sense.
There is no launch party. No app store spotlight.
Only a signal — and a decision.
For now, the system sleeps.
There are no points to earn. No signals to scan.
Only a window for those bold enough to position themselves before the rise begins.
The Three Starting Paths
When the game activates on the Winter Solstice, players will not begin equally:
- Level 1 WITNESS — Everyone enters when the gates open. No head start. No signal in motion.
- Level 2 SENTINEL — Those who drop their email now will gain early access to the app and start one level above the crowd.
- Level 3 WARDEN— Those who purchase the Prestige Hoodie now will begin here. They won’t just play — they’ll be the ones others chase.
Points aren’t earned through gear alone. While wearing a hoodie or t-shirt marked with your QR Signal allows others to scan you in public and boost your rise, it’s not the only way to play. Once your Signal is activated, you’ll also be able to scan or be scanned digitally — directly from your phone or by sharing it with a friend. Whether it’s worn on your back or carried in your pocket, your Signal is always active — and every scan moves you forward.
How It Works — Once It Begins
After the Winter Solstice, the real game begins.
There are 9 known Signal levels.
You rise by either scanning others or by being scanned in the real world.
Each interaction earns points. Some scans give more based on your level.
